Fall Application & Informational Schedule

About FLEX

To provide a glimpse into what the experience of being in FLEX looks like, the FLO’s student leaders completed an assessment of their previous year. The following should be used as information to help you make an informed decision about being a member of FLEX, but please note that your experience may look different.

What does a “week in FLEX” look like?

FLEX requires attendance at weekly Monday meetings and offers optional weekly service opportunities, study nights, zone meetings, Big/Little hangouts, Gumby’s nights, and much more.

What did the remote experience look like due to COVID-19?

FLEX continued to host general meetings virtually, organizing game nights and continuing with organization announcements. Additionally, Zone sub-meetings were hosted to provide more information to the freshmen about classes, scheduling changes, and to host fun activities such as group trivia, movie nights, and other games.

Does FLEX have a Big/Little Program?

Yes

What does the Big/Little Experience entail?

Freshmen have the opportunity to preference (pref) a family at the beginning of the year. Four freshmen are paired with two Bigs and one GrandBig. Big/Little families have the opportunity to have weekly hangouts, participate in co-family hangouts, and grow close with a small group of people.
