Why apply to Fish Co?
To provide a glimpse into what the experience of being in Fish Co looks like, the FLO’s Student Leaders completed an assessment of their previous year. The following should be used as information to help you make an informed decision about being a member of Fish Co, but please note that your experience may look different.
What does a “week in Fish Co” look like?
We host weekly meetings alternating between Fish Co. and Class Councils meetings. These meetings are every Monday at 8:30 p.m. and focus on updates with traditions, developing leadership qualities within members, and bonding members closer to one another. Also as a member you will have hangouts with your Ohana at least once a week, and will spend time with other Fish Co. members in Koldus, which is where our organization is located.
What did the remote experience look like due to COVID-19?
When remote, Fish Co continued to have weekly “meetings” to hang out and stay in contact with each other. Each ohana also had their own hangouts over zoom, having a lot of game and movie nights. Ohana parents checked in with their kids to make sure they were able to keep up with their online work.

What does the Big/Little Experience entail?
Freshmen will be paired with an upperclassman from Class Councils who will help guide them through the organization and adjust to college life. There are multiple variations in the way bigs and littles are paired, from one big and one little to two bigs and four littles. There are multiple events early in the year for freshmen to get to know potential bigs, then you are able to pref who you want as a big!
