Freshmen in Liberal Arts Reaching Excellence (FLARE) was established in 2008 as one of seventeen Freshmen Leadership Organizations (FLOs). FLARE aims to provide freshmen liberal arts majors the opportunity to develop both academically and socially within the Texas A&M and the College of Liberal Arts. FLARE offers freshmen the necessary tools and resources to become improved leaders, both on campus and within the Bryan-College Station Community FLARE is geared towards creating a welcoming environment for freshmen to gain exposure to get involved in the College of Liberal Arts, provide unity among all majors housed in this college, create unique educational experiences outside of the classroom, promote and support diversity throughout the student body, coordinate events for liberal arts students, and to represent the College of Liberal Arts through community service projects.
